So today is day 30, which means its the last day of the blogathon. I have 15 followers, most of whom are not people I know- wow! Thanks! I managed to post 28 days out of 30, even though a lot of those posts were just links to videos.
I’ve been thinking about where I want to take this blog in the future. I don’t like writing short off-the-cuff posts that feel more like diary entries than something I’d want to actually read. I’m planning to write one or two more thought-out posts every week about one of the priorities that matter to me, interspersed with some randomness. People seem to like my Friday videos, so I’ll keep doing those. If there’s something you’ve liked that you want to see more of, please let me know.
I’m in the midst of making my skirt, so that will be the next “real” post.
Thanks for reading! Hope to see more of you.
The fabric I ordered to make my skirt is here! This is my project for the weekend-which starts today!
I’ll write a progress report on the project tomorrow, but in early anticipation of Friday, here’s today’s happy video. (The audience in this is weird, but it’s a great song.)
“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.” — Marcus Aurelius
All in all, I think my first week of VB6 has been a success. With some adaptations, I can see making this a deliberate lifestyle choice.
I stuck with it for the whole week, only cheating on Friday when someone brought real French pastry to the office. I ate a half of some sweet croissant-ish thing with Nutella and it was worth every single calorie.
VB6 does take some effort. I had to allow enough time to pack lunches and snacks every day, but it wasn’t bad. I could see this becoming an easily ingrained habit.
There’s a lot of fiber in the VB6 diet. A lot. I spent a lot of time in the bathroom. Some foods – like the Indian eggplant from Trader Joe’s – did not agree with me. I’m picking up a bottle of beano on my shopping trip this week.
I promise I will write an actual post for tomorrow. For now, a song to start your weekend.
I work for a web design company, and while we are not tech support, we get calls all the time from the technologically challenged.
