Day one went pretty well. I had a bean salad with artichoke hearts and beets over lettuce and other greens for lunch, and brought snacks. Bittman talks about having lots of little snacks through the day, and he was right. I found myself getting hungry about three o’clock. I had grapes and a small whole wheat bread (sandwich thins from Trader Joe’s) with hummus. Also peanuts.
I absolutely do not want to bore everyone who takes the time to read what I have to say with a detailed list of what I eat every day, so I am not going to write about this again until the end of the week. This writing every day thing, while a good discipline, makes it too easy to get, well, bloggy.
